To provide a game machine for increasing opportunities to perform a continuous presentation.
A stop symbol to be displayed on the display screen of a third symbol display 81 in the game machine is constituted of three upper, middle, and lower symbol strings Z1-Z3, for example. The respective symbol strings Z1-Z3 are stop-displayed one by one in order from the upper to the lower one after the strings respectively starts high-speed variation. In a performance controller 117, even when a variable presentation is started and the stop display of the upper symbol string Z1 being a part of the stop symbol is started, the lower symbol string Z3 and middle symbol string Z2 during the high-speed variation are replaced with other symbol strings when the respective symbol strings Z2, Z3 are in high-speed variation, thereby to change the stop symbol during the variable presentation into an "opportunity symbol". Consequently, only when the whole symbol strings Z1-Z3 are in the high-speed variation, the opportunity to perform a continuous opportunity symbol presentation is further increased compared with a case where the stop symbol of the variable presentation is changed into the "opportunity symbol".
