A centering assembly for use with a wafer-style valve assembly (10) adapted to be fixedly located relative to a centerline (21) of a pipeline by a plurality of longitudinal fasteners (22), the wafer-style valve assembly including a substantially cylindrical valve body (12) having a peripheral edge portion, the centering assembly comprising a first centering clip (16a) arranged for attachment to the valve body and extending outward of the peripheral edge portion, a second centering clip (16b) arranged for attachment to the valve body and extending outward of the peripheral edge portion.
