Abstract:
To provide a dust collector for an electric furnace, which easily and efficiently controls scattering of soot, dust and fume generated from a ladle during tapping.
The dust collector 1 includes: a hollow and annular ring hood 10 having suction ports 11 formed therein to surround the opening 22a of a furnace body 22 sandwiching a tapping passage 23; a furnace lid 13 detachably provided on the upper side of the ring hood 10; and a second tilting means 12 tiltably supporting the ring hood 10 with respect to the furnace body 22 and tilting the ring hood 10 so that the suction ports 11 are arranged above the ladle X during tapping.
