One or more pairs of squeezing rollers 6, 7 are disposed to interpose a glass plate carrying passage between the front and the back, and the respective squeezing rollers 6, 7 are rotated following the glass plate carrying direction A in contact with the front and the back of the glass plate 2 to which a liquid attaches, thereby removing the liquid. The peripheral speed of at least one of front and back squeezing rollers 6, (7) is set lower than the carrying speed of the glass plate 2 delivered between the front and back squeezing rollers by carrying means 3, 4.
