The photographing device includes an imaging section 2 which captures the subject image and outputs the image data, a recording section 6 which records a motion image based on the image data, and a parameter setting section 3 which manually sets the photography parameters for changing the photographing state, and an expression change extraction section 1a which determines an expression change of a subject based on the image data, wherein the photography parameters are changed according to the expression change during motion image recording regardless of the photography parameters which are set manually (S36, S43).
