Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coasting control device that prevents engine overrun during high-speed traveling and in addition, promptly downshifts when a vehicle speed is reduced.SOLUTION: The coasting control device includes: a coasting control implementing section 3 which is configured to reduce engine speed by disengaging a clutch when a coasting control start condition is satisfied, and to engage the clutch by increasing the engine speed when a coasting control termination condition is satisfied; a gear shift control section 5 which sets a target gear stage from a gear shift map 4 to disengage the clutch, and which shifts a gear to the target gear stage to engage the clutch; and an adjustment section 6 which prohibits the gear shift control section 5 from shifting a gear when a clutch rotational speed exceeds a predetermined value during coasting control, and which allows the gear shift control section 5 to shift a gear when the clutch rotational speed does not exceed the predetermined value.
