PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for generating microscopic bubbles, which is compatible with both different flow rates of microscopic bubbles-containing water required for a bathing in the bathtub and a bathing with shower by the same device, and also reduces the price thereof.SOLUTION: The apparatus for generating microscopic bubbles, includes: a water storage tank 16; a third water-supply pipe 17 provided by branching out in the middle of a second water-supply pipe 8; a first flow passage switching valve 18 provided in the branching part; a shower head 19 in which a second decompression unit 20 is built, and that is provided in an end of the third water-supply pipe; a first return pipe 21 provided by branching out in the middle the third water-supply pipe; and a flow ratio adjustment mechanism 22 provided in the branching part. In the apparatus for generating microscopic bubbles, an end of the first return pipe is connected to the water storage tank, a second return pipe 23 is provided by being connected with the water storage tank at one end thereof while the other end thereof is connected upstream of an air intake unit 10 in the middle a first water-supply pipe 6, and a second flow passage switching valve 24 is provided in the connection part.
