Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communications system reducing wrong reception due to stationary noise so as to reduce possibility to miss a valid radio signal.SOLUTION: A radio communications system A comprises a handy terminal 3 transmitting a radio signal using a prescribed radio channel which is one of plural radio channels of different frequencies, and a meter reading unit 1 receiving the radio signal transmitted from the handy terminal 3. The meter reading unit 1 comprises a signal strength detection unit 14 detecting a signal strength for each radio channel, and a transmitter/receiver 11 receiving the radio signal only when the detected signal strength is larger than a threshold stored in a storage unit 13. A radio communications unit 10 comprises a threshold change unit 15 calculating a new threshold on the basis of the signal strength of the radio channel to store the threshold in the storage unit 13 when the transmitter/receiver 11 completes reception of the radio signal.
