Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appropriate and stable combustion state while appropriately preventing blow-by of fuel gas from a sub-chamber to a main chamber with a reasonable structure, in a sub-chamber type engine provided with the main chamber facing a piston and the sub-chamber communicating with the main chamber via a fuel injection hole as combustion chambers wherein an ignition part of an ignition plug formed in the sub-chamber for spark ignition of fuel/air mixture and the fuel injection hole for injecting the fuel gas supplied via a gas passage to the sub-chamber are provided in a ceiling part of the sub-chamber.SOLUTION: An annular step part 22 facing the ceiling part 20a is formed on an upper side outer peripheral part 20b which is the outer peripheral part on the further upper side than the middle in the vertical direction of the sub-chamber 20. The fuel injection hole 16 is formed to open downward at a corner part facing the annular step part 22 of the ceiling part 20a. The ignition part 12a is disposed at a portion adjacent to the corner part of the annular step part 22 on the opposite side from a portion where the fuel injection hole 16 is disposed in the ceiling part 20a with respect to the axis of the sub-chamber 20.
