Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for a vehicle, a display device that can perform display that hardly makes occupants feel dazzling and is designed in consideration of the problem.SOLUTION: The display device 100 for a vehicle includes: a liquid crystal panel 41 that displays in parallel a main image 2a and a sub-image 2b that are different in display size; a back light 45; and a control circuit 20 for controlling the back light 45. The liquid crystal panel 41 comprises a main display region 42 for displaying the main image 2a with a large display size and a sub-display region 43 for displaying the sub-image 2b with a small display size. The back light 45 has a main illumination part 46 for illuminating the main display region 42 and a sub-illumination part 47 for illuminating the sub-display region 43. In the control circuit 20, the main control part 21 controls illumination by the main illumination part 46 and the sub-illumination part 47 so that the illumination of the sub-display region 43 by the sub-illumination part 47 may be brighter than the illumination of the main display region 42 by the main illumination part 46.
