PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter which can functionalize various types of optical systems appropriately for a lens interchangeable type camera system.SOLUTION: A camera body comprises: a connection part to connect a first interchangeable lens which is attachable and detachable via an accessory, or to connect a second interchangeable lens which is attachable and detachable; and an imaging control unit to control imaging according to a program diagram which is different whether the second interchangeable lens is connected to the connection part or the first interchangeable lens is connected to the connection part via the adapter.
