Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reproduction apparatus and information reproduction method for selectively reproducing video or audio to be reproduced in accordance with a registered person, according to preset rules, on the basis of operation using face recognition.SOLUTION: A recording means records viewer information based on feature point information of a face recognized by a face recognizing means. A setting means sets information to be displayed on a video display means in accordance with the recorded viewer information. When a viewer corresponding to viewer information recorded by the recording means is recognized by the face recognizing means, an information reproducing means reproduces first information set by the setting means on the video display means. When a viewer corresponding to the recorded viewer information and a viewer not corresponding to viewer information recorded by the recording means are recognized by the face recognizing means, the information reproducing means reproduces second information different from the first information on the video display means.
