PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve assemblability of a cover and a bumper.SOLUTION: An impact driver 1 includes: a motor 4; a hammer 19 driven by the motor 4; an anvil 9 to be hit by the hammer 19; and a hammer case 6 that houses the hammer 19 and has a tapered part 29 and a tip part 22, in which the anvil 9 projects from a front part thereof. The impact driver further includes: a cover 32 for covering the tapered part 29; and a bumper 33 engaging with the cover 32 and covering part of the tip part 22.
