Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocathode high frequency electron gun and an electron beam apparatus including the photocathode high frequency electron gun capable of easily changing a time width of an electron beam.SOLUTION: A photocathode high frequency electron gun 1 includes: a cathode part 3; a laser irradiation port 4 irradiating an laser beam 8 to the cathode part 3; an acceleration cavity part 5 accelerating electrons 9 radiated from the cathode part 3; and a high frequency wave introduction part 15 introducing high frequency wave inside the acceleration cavity part 5. The acceleration cavity part 5 includes: two or more basic cells 10; a basic iris 12 provided between both of the basic cells 10; and a final cell 11 communicating to an exit of the basic cells 10 through a final iris 13. The thickness of the final iris 13 is different from the thickness of the basic iris 12.
