Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wave relaxation device capable of reducing coast erosion by attenuating wave energy.SOLUTION: A wave relaxation device 10 relaxes waves, which are generated at a liquid level, by making the waves collide with a cylinder body 3 in such a manner as to position a part of the cylinder body 3 below the liquid level along a longitudinal direction of the cylinder body 3 and position the other parts of the cylinder part above the liquid level, by first and second floating bodies 11 and 12. The wave relaxation device 10 includes an opening below the liquid level, which is provided in a part of the cylinder body 3 positioned below the liquid level, and an opening above the liquid level, which is provided in a part of the cylinder body 3 positioned above the liquid level.
