Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system capable of safely managing a key to be used by a guest OS, and performing highly reliable encryption/decryption processing under a virtualized environment.SOLUTION: When an encryption/decryption API is called by a cipher use application 62 of a guest OS 60, an encryption/decryption request is sent to an extended encryption providing part 61. When receiving the encryption/decryption request, the extended encryption providing part 61 constructs a secure communication channel between the guest OS 60 and a host OS 50, and entrusts encryption/decryption processing to the host OS 50. An encryption/decryption control part 51 of the host OS 50 searches a cryptographic key from a key management part 53, and executes encryption/decryption processing corresponding to the encryption/decryption processing requested by the guest OS 60 by using the searched cryptographic key, and sends the processing result to the extended encryption providing part 61 of the guest OS 60, and the extended encryption providing part 61 transmits the processing result to the cipher use application 62.
