Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a drive system of a railway vehicle which estimates a distance up to the other vehicle for absorbing regeneration power when an own train starts a regeneration brake, selects a method smaller in power loss, and effectively utilizes the regeneration power.SOLUTION: A voltage sensor 8c detects an earth voltage (cable voltage) Es of power supplied from a power line by a collector 3. A current sensor 9e detects a current amount (cable current) Is of power supplied from the power line by the collector 3. An integrated control means 10 inputted with both the detection values calculates a ratio R_reg(=ΔEs/ΔIs) between the cable current Es and increasing amounts ΔEs, ΔIs at a prescribed time of the cable current Is. When R_reg exceeds a prescribed value Ref_dif_ecf_is during the regeneration brake operation of an inverter device 6, a power accumulation system 7 preferentially charges the regeneration power of the inverter device 6 to the power accumulation system of the own train not as the consumption of the power-factor power of the other train.
