Abstract:
The system has a transmitter including an antenna for transmitting a warning message over a radio network, where the message includes a parameter of a warning area, warning factor and warning behavior. A receiver (2) has an antenna (3) for receiving the transmitted message. The receiver has a processor (5), in which the warning area is detected from the parameter by a zone algorithm. The processor determines whether a position of the receiver lies within the warning area and generates a warning signal based on the determination, where the signal is output by a warning output unit (7). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for receiving a warning message in a receiver (2) a method for transmitting a warning message in a radio network.
