Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a portable information communication apparatus with a GPS function, especially, the portable information communication apparatus such as a cellular phone or a PHS with the GPS function with palm size or less for car navigation, and to enable a driver himself/herself to perform an operation in that case and reading of a map image.SOLUTION: A portable information communication apparatus includes: radio communication means for receiving a GPS signal; storage means for storing a program and a data file; data processing means for generating a digital display signal of a self-position map image by processing the GPS signal and map information data based on the program; and display means for displaying the self-position map image based on the digital display signal. The portable information communication apparatus further includes interface means A1 to which a peripheral device accompanying external display means is connected, and which transmits an external display signal to the peripheral device based on the digital display signal.
