To provide a blue colored composition for a color filter for forming the color filter by which high luminosity and a wide color reproducing region are made possible in a color display using an organic EL light source, to provide the color filter using this, and to provide the color display including the color filter.
In the blue-colored composition for the color filter including a coloring agent dispersion which includes a coloring agent, a transparent resin and a solvent, at least a copper phthalocyanine blue pigment and a xanthene-based dye are used as the coloring agent. The blue-colored composition for the color filter is formed by using transparent resin, and as necessary, a monomer, a photopolymerization initiator, the other additives, a solvent and the like. A blue-filter segment is formed on a filter substrate by using the obtained blue-colored composition by a printing method, an inkjet method, a photolithographic method, and the like. Red and green filter segments, other than the blue filter segment, are also formed on the color filter.
