Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an image whose depth of field is enlarged with high accuracy.SOLUTION: An imaging element 11 receives light from a subject through a phase modulation element 12. An image extracting unit 13 extracts a partial image P2 including a region where a point image is dispersed from a taken image P1 obtained by the imaging element 11. A restoration processing unit 14 performs a process for restoring a subject image on the taken image obtained by the imaging element 11 (for example, the taken image P1) by using the partial image P2 extracted by the image extracting unit 13 as a point spread function (PSF). Since the process for restoring the subject image is performed by using the point spread function obtained from the actual taken image, an error of the point spread function, which is caused by a manufacturing error of an optical system and the like, is less likely generated, and as a result, the subject can be restored with accuracy.
