The augmented reality using the content generated by the user of a first terminal 11 is provided to the user of a second terminal 12 in the following manner. First, content data having the moving locus of the first terminal 11 as a rendering line is generated, and the content data is transmitted to a content server 20 together with the position information of the first terminal 11. The content server 20 stores the position information and the content data as content data. Thereafter, the position information of the second terminal 12 is transmitted to the content server 20, and based on the position information, content data corresponding to the periphery of the position of the second terminal 12 is extracted. Then, the extracted content data is transmitted to the second terminal 12, and the content represented by the content data is displayed in an overlapped manner at a corresponding position in a video image imaged by the second terminal 12.
