Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of securely holding surplus refrigerant when one indoor unit stops.SOLUTION: In the air conditioner 1, indoor units 2A, 2B are connected in parallel to piping 4 between units extending from an outdoor unit 3, and these indoor units 2A, 2B are simultaneously operated or stopped. With respect to a gas pipe 5 and a liquid pipe 6 of the piping 4 between units, a refrigerant outlet side and a refrigerant inlet side of indoor heat exchangers 20A, 20B of the indoor units 2A, 2B are respectively provided with first to fourth opening/closing valves 42-45 for stopping circulation of the refrigerant to the indoor heat exchangers 20A, 20B. The gas pipe 5 is arranged with an accumulator 46 between the first/second opening/closing valves 42, 43 and the outdoor unit 3 separately from an outdoor accumulator 35.
