Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of detection of a target near an object that exists in a steady state.SOLUTION: The detector detects a movable target by using a radar. The detector includes an acquisition unit, a background computation unit, and a determination unit. The acquisition unit acquires a received power value received from a detected object by the radar. The background computation unit computes a strength distribution of background power values received by the radar from a background object representing a detected object repeatedly detected at the same position. The determination unit determines that the radar has detected the target, when the strength distribution of received power values is different from the strength distribution of background power values.
