Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost and the mass by suppressing enlargement of an outer shape of an extension.SOLUTION: In this instrument panel module structure 10, the extension 14 is joined to an end 12A on a vehicle width direction outer side of an instrument panel reinforcement 12. A body panel part 50 arranged on the vehicle width direction outer side of the end 12A of the instrument panel reinforcement 12 and having the vehicle width direction as a thickness direction is formed on the extension 14, and the body panel part 50 has a holding hole 84 formed to be held by an external holding device not shown in the figure in such a manner of being accommodated in a cross section of the end 12A when viewed from the vehicle width direction outer side. By this construction, addition of an exclusive part on the extension 14 or extension of the body panel part 50 is not required in order to secure a forming portion of the holding hole 84. Accordingly, the outer shape of the extension 14 can be miniaturized, and the cost and the mass can be reduced.
