Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent overdischarge of an auxiliary battery while ensuring operation of an auxiliary load in a vehicle capable of external charging for charging a high voltage power supply, that stores power for obtaining a driving force, with power of an external power supply.SOLUTION: An ECU controls a vehicle comprising a high voltage power supply, a charger performing external charging, a low voltage power supply (auxiliary battery), an auxiliary load, and a DC/DC converter which outputs the voltage of the high voltage power supply, while stepping down, to the auxiliary load. A CPLT signal is input to the ECU when external charging is possible, and an IG signal is input when the user is possibly operating the auxiliary load. The ECU executes external charging (S6) when the CPLT signal is "ON" (YES at S1), stops external charging temporarily (S8) when the high voltage power supply is in fully charged state (YES at S5) and the IG signal is "ON" (YES at S7), thus continuing operation of the DC/DC converter (S9).
