Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method of an absorption tower in which a sulfur-oxidizing bacterium reproducing on a filler surface and sulfur depositing on the filler surface in the absorption tower can be removed without performing taking out/re-packing of a filler, and without using chemicals such as sodium hypochlorite.SOLUTION: A cleaning method of an absorption tower includes: a decompression process in which pressure in the absorption tower 1 is lowered; a water filling process in which water is filled in the absorption tower 1 until a filler (for example, a filler layer 13b) in the absorption tower 1 is immersed; and a bubbling process in which an anaerobic gas (for example, a digestion gas) is sent in the absorption tower 1 in which pressure is lowered, thereby water filled in the absorption tower 1 is gas agitated by the anaerobic gas.
