Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission service even if a failure occurs in a transmission device or a communication path between the transmission device and an external device in the transmission device used for a communication network where communication paths are made redundant and one signal is transmitted through a plurality of communication paths.SOLUTION: A duplex SDH device 100 and a duplex SDH device 200 constitute a redundant pair 10. Either one of the duplex SDH device 100 and the duplex SDH device 200 becomes under an execution state and the other under a standby state. The duplex transmission device in the execution state performs communication with an external device 600. The duplex transmission device in the standby state transmits communication between the duplex transmission device in the execution state and an SDH device 300, an opposite device.
