Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decolorization apparatus that achieves uniform decoloration with low energy consumption and under optimum decolorizing condition for a decolorant toner image.SOLUTION: The decolorization apparatus comprises: a heater part 28 configured to heat a decolorant toner image printed surface of a transferred medium 20 arranged in a conveyance path 3 for the transferred medium 20 in order to decolor the decolorant toner image printed on the transferred medium 20; and a decoloring light source 8 arranged in the conveyance path 3 of the transferred medium 20 and configured to emit decoloring light to the decolorant toner image printed surface of the transferred medium 20 heated by the heater part 28. In the heater part 28, three heaters 35 (35a and 35b) at two steps, one above the other, are provided in a main scanning direction orthogonal to a conveyance direction g of the transferred medium 20, and are arranged parallel to a heat radiation surface 31 of the heater part 28. Gaps 36a or 36b between the heaters 35 are arranged so as not to overlap with gaps 36b or 36a between the heaters 35 at the other step as viewed from above.
