Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a reproducible volatile organic compound (VOC) adsorbent with less energy consumption having gas adsorption capability which is equal to or more than activated carbon and zeolite while adsorption temperature of the VOC adsorbed once is 150 °C or less.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of the volatile organic compound adsorbent includes steps for: (a) obtaining a precursor of cylindrical aluminum silicate by mixing a solution containing silicic acid source and a solution containing aluminum source; (b) washing the precursor; (c) obtaining the cylindrical aluminum silicate by heating the precursor after washing in the step (b) in the presence of an acid; and (d) washing the cylindrical aluminum silicate.
