Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To furthermore suppress an exothermic reaction in a negative electrode active material containing a carbon material.SOLUTION: A lithium ion secondary battery includes: a positive electrode having a positive electrode active material; a lithium ion secondary battery negative electrode which contains a negative electrode active material containing a carbon material capable of absorbing/desorbing lithium, and a compound represented by general formula (1); and an ion conducting medium interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode and conducting lithium ions. The compound represented by the general formula (1) may be hardly soluble in a nonaqueous electrolyte.
