Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus, an imaging apparatus control method, and a program that allow a user to readily photograph a moving image without worrying about timing of the photographing start.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises: a posture detector for detecting the posture of the imaging apparatus; an image detector for detecting a face image included in an image signal; a release switch; and a recording controller for controlling recording of image data on the basis of the detection result of the posture detector and that of the image detector. When operating the release switch (S11), imaging of a static image and a moving image is controlled on the basis of an image from an imaging unit (S12, S14, S21). On the basis of the detection result of the posture detector and that of the image detector, finish of recording the image data of the moving image is determined (S31 to S36).
