Abstract:
To provide a ground improving material which thoroughly suppresses elution of heavy metals, generates little dust and gives high strength improved ground, and an effective ground improving method using the same.
The ground improving material has an average particle size of ≤100 μm and is obtained by mixing a CaCO3-containing powder A having a composition in which 30-75 mass% CaCO3and 20-50 mass% CaO are contained and an MgO content is in a range satisfying an MgO to CaO mass ratio of 0-1 with granulated blast furnace slag B in such a way that a mass ratio of A:B becomes 2:8 to 4:6. The ground improving material is applied to a ground improving method comprising mixing a ground improving material in soft ground of soil having a cone index of ≤500 kN/m2so that a modified soil layer containing 60-160 kg/m3of the ground improving material is formed in a surface layer of the ground.
