Abstract:

The turbomachine (10) has a turbine (20) exchanging energy between fluid e.g. mix refrigerant fluid, and a rotor (10R). An electrical generator unit (50) converts electrical energy into work. Hydrostatic bearings (40, 42) radially place the rotor. A contact less axial balancing device (38) ensures axial balancing of the rotor at high speed. An axial stop ensures axial balancing of the rotor at low speed, and is contact less at high speed, where the stop is formed by a ball bearing (36). Supply circuits (44, 46, 48) connect the hydrostatic bearings to a pressurized fluid source.
