Abstract:
Provided are an aqueous solution for cleaning contact lenses (CL), which contains povidone iodine at such a low concentration as being usable without diluting and has a high stability, and a kit for cleaning CL which comprising the aqueous solution. The aforesaid aqueous solution for cleaning CL contains 20-100 ppm inclusive, expressed in effective iodine concentration, of povidone iodine and potassium iodide at a concentration of 1.0-3.0 w/v% inclusive. In the case of cleaning CL using a material containing a siloxane component, it is preferred that the aqueous solution further contains polyoxyethylene lauryl ether sodium sulfate at a concentration of 0.1-5 w/v% inclusive.
