Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a woven fabric which maintains initial low air permeability.SOLUTION: A woven fabric has a plurality of interlacing multifilament fibers. At least one of the multifilament fibers comprises a first and a second filaments having a cross section of a pentagram. The first and the second filaments have a degree of non-circularity of 1.4 to 2.6. The woven fabric has at least one surface which is subjected to a calendar processing in order that at least a portion of the multifilament fibers is compressed and the first and the second filaments engage each other and thereby maintaining low air permeability even after repeatedly washing the woven fabric.
