Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a microchannel heat exchanger using a magnetic refrigeration material.SOLUTION: Heat treatment in a hydrogen (H) atmosphere (about 200-300°C at 1 atmosphere) is applied to the magnetic refrigeration material 21 having a groove 13 formed therein, and the material is impregnated with hydrogen. An epoxy-based adhesive 19 is thinly coated over a first surface 15 positioned around the groove 13 of the magnetic refrigeration material 21. A second surface 17 of other magnetic refrigeration material 21 subjected to the hydrogen impregnation step is laminated thereover. In the same way, a plurality of magnetic refrigeration materials 21 are laminated, and at the top, a magnetic refrigeration material 11 not having a groove formed therein is laminated and adhered using the adhesive.
