Abstract:
【課題】マルチコアファイバと偏波面保存ファイバとの間で良好な偏波面保持と光結合を得ることができる光接続部品およびその製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】光接続部品１００は、マルチコアファイバに接する第１端面と偏波面保存ファイバに接する第２端面とを有する石英ガラス４の部材と、石英ガラス４の部材の中に配置された、マルチコアファイバ１のコア８及び偏波面保存ファイバ２のコア５とモードフィールド径が同じコアを有するＮ個のガラスファイバ３とを備え、第１端面におけるＮ個のガラスファイバ３のコアの間隔がマルチコアファイバ１のコア８の配置と等しく、第２端面におけるガラスファイバ３のコアの間隔が偏波面保存ファイバ２の外径と同じであるか又は外径よりも大きいことを特徴とする。【選択図】図１
