Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute transition to a power saving mode without trouble in an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A processor 1 (a) prohibits the access to a nonvolatile memory 3 from a data managing part 11 on the occasion of transition to a power saving mode, according to a main program 21 on a memory 2, (b) makes transition to a mode switching program 31 on the nonvolatile memory 3 from the main program 21 on the memory 2 after the access to the nonvolatile memory 3 from the data managing part 11 is prohibited, and (c) changes an operation mode of the memory 2 to a self-refresh mode, according to the mode switching program 31 on the nonvolatile memory 3, while blocking a power supply of the processor 1.
