Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method of a tin inclusion copper that can efficiently remove tin from the tin inclusion copper.SOLUTION: A copper metal containing tin is fed in an oxidizing furnace with a tin removing agent and a solvent, and is melted while feeding an oxygen-containing gas, the tin is selectively made to float as a slag, the slag is removed, and high purity of at least 96 mass% of copper is obtained. The copper metal contains 1-8 mass% of tin, and the tin removing agent is a sodium carbonate, and the solvent is silica sand and lime stone. The molten metal temperature in the tin oxidation stage is regulated at 1,200°C-1,270°C by feeding the tin inclusion copper as a cold charge.
