Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition capable of improving low fuel consumption of the rubber composition containing isoprene rubber, and further providing good durability and steel cord adhesive property, and to provide a pneumatic tire manufactured by using the same.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a rubber composition used for a steel cord coating and the like, containing a rubber component, a carbon black having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of 20 to 130 m/g, organic cobalt and a compound represented by the formula (I), and has the content or isoprene rubber of 60 to 100 mass% in 100 mass% of the rubber component, the content of the carbon black of 15 to 70 pts.mass and the content of the organic cobalt of 0.05 to 0.20 pts.mass in terms of cobalt based on 100 pts.mass of the rubber component, and the content of the compound represented by the formula (I) of 0.1 to 20 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the carbon black.
