Abstract:
The mobile crane has a telescopic jib (12), and as a position identification unit at least one signal transmitter in the form of an inductively working transponder (32), a receiver (34) to record the position of the signal transmitter, a control unit for control in dependence upon a receiver signal, and a signal transmission unit in the form of a databus to transmit the signal data from the receiver to the control unit. A transponder is built into the receiver and sends out a predetermined functioning signal for the continuous checking of the functional capability of the position identification device.
