Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for model creation capable of setting a border of an interface area.SOLUTION: A device for model creation executes the steps of: creating an initial model; creating a border point sequence group showing a border between a filler area F and a rubber area G in the initial model; dividing all areas in the initial model into multiple elements to be used for a finite element method; obtaining a centroid point of each element; identifying whether or not each centroid point is included in the filler area F; determining the centroid point of each element and a border point at a shortest distance in the border point sequence group; calculating a level set function of each element with setting the shortest distance as a value; adding a plus or a minus to the shortest distance value on the basis of whether or not the centroid point is included in the filler area F; using a value of the level set function to calculate an isogram at a predetermined distance from the border; and determining an area between the border and the isogram as an interface area.
