Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water current power generation system that has a simple configuration for easily securing a rotating shaft, or stopping the rotation of the rotating shaft.SOLUTION: The water current power generation system includes: a rotor; a first airfoil secured at one end thereof to the rotor; and a second airfoil connected to the first airfoil such that each of the first and second airfoils can rotate around axes in the longitudinal direction. In addition, the water current power generation system is provided with: a link mechanism for linking the turning of the first and second airfoils so that circumferential surfaces of the first and second airfoils are continued to each other; and a release mechanism for releasing the link by the link mechanism.
