Abstract:
The present invention achieves both measurement precision and improvement in the degree of coupling between transmitting and receiving antennas in a heat-flow clinical thermometer wherein a resonator, in which the resonant frequency varies according to temperature, is used; and further achieves a reduction in manufacturing costs. The present invention is a clinical thermometer (200) that is brought into contact with the body surface of a subject so as to measure deep body temperature, and is characterized by being provided with: a first thermal resistor (113) on which a first crystal oscillator (111) and a second crystal oscillator (112) are disposed; a second thermal resistor (123) on which a third crystal oscillator (121) and a fourth crystal oscillator (122) are disposed; and a homogenizing member (130). The clinical thermometer is further characterized in that four extensions, which extend on the same plane as loop-shaped antennas, are attached to the tip of each of the first to fourth crystal oscillators (111 to 122), and at least one of the four extensions folds back in such a manner as to form a plane parallel to the aforementioned plane.
