Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid and a kit for enamel regeneration which promote remineralization of enamel within a living body and are effective for treatment of initial dental caries and prevention of dental caries.SOLUTION: The liquid for enamel regeneration includes amelogenin, calcium ions and phosphate ions. The kit for enamel regeneration includes a first liquid containing calcium ions and a second liquid containing amelogenin and phosphate ions. Amelogenin accumulates on the enamel surface to form spaces, and calcium ions and phosphate ions accumulate in the spaces. Because the spaces are supersaturated locally with calcium ions and phosphate ions, a reaction between the calcium ions and phosphate ions is promoted and growth of hydroxyapatite crystals is promoted.
