Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device that allows efficiently performing power-factor correction control and constant current control with a simple circuit, and to provide a lighting fixture.SOLUTION: A converter section 3 includes a filter capacitor C1, a first inductor L1, a switching element SW1 (for example, a MOSFET), a series capacitor C2, a second inductor L2, a diode D1, and an output smoothing capacitor C3. The converter section 3 includes a SEPIC circuit composed of these circuit elements. An LED 5 that is a light source is connected to an output of the converter section 3. The converter section 3 operates through control of a control section 4. The converter section 3 converts a DC voltage full-wave rectified by a rectifier circuit into a current and a voltage suitable for lighting the LED. The converter section 3 operates through control of the control section 4 so that an input current waveform becomes a sine-wave shape and has the same phase as an AC input voltage, and performs power-factor correction.
