Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preferentially retrieve the image data which a user wants to view without requiring a complicated operation.SOLUTION: An object identification unit 108 identifies an object selected by a user. A feature extraction unit 109 extracts the feature of the object identified by the object identification unit 108. An image retrieval unit 110 calculates, based on the extracted feature, the similarity between image data including the object and a plurality of other image data items and retrieves, according to the similarity, the plurality of other image data items.
