To manufacture an optical connection part capable of making a low profile of a device, at a low cost.
A method for manufacturing an optical connection part includes: a step of covering a light receiving/emitting part 10A of a light receiving/emitting element 10 mounted on a substrate 4 and a front end of an optical transmission line 2 disposed in the vicinity of the light receiving/emitting element, with an unhardened transparent resin 3; and a step of pressing a reflecting surface transfer part 12 provided in a reflecting surface transfer jig 11, to the unhardened transparent resin; wherein the transparent resin is hardened to form a reflecting surface 5 for coupling the light receiving/emitting part and the optical transmission line, on an outer surface of the transparent resin.
