Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that, when raw material water containing a large amount of ionic impurities is supplied to an electrolysis cell, a metal compound precipitates on an electrode or a diaphragm, and expected performance cannot be maintained over a long period of time.SOLUTION: The electrolytic synthesis device includes a capacitive deionization device (hereinafter referred to as a "CDI device") and an electrolysis cell. In the CDI device, raw material water containing dissolved ions is passed and a voltage is applied between the two electrodes of a positive electrode and a negative electrode; among the dissolved ions, a negative ion component is adsorbed at a positive electrode, a positive ion component is adsorbed at the negative electrode, and they are concentrated; and the concentrated ions are desorbed from each of the electrodes by a method of short-circuitting both the electrodes, passing a reverse current, or the like. Raw material water having total dissolved solids (hereinafter referred to as "TDS") of 100 to 1000 ppm is passed through the CDI device to pretreat the raw material water, wherein the TDS of the raw material water is treated to 100 ppm or less. The treated CDI-treated water is supplied to the electrolysis cell to perform electrolytic synthesis or electrolytic treatment.
